Disability Accessible INC, a 501(c)3 non-profit has the mission of helping make events and spaces accessible to all with disabilities. That means both seen (physical) and unseen (mental) disabilities. We do this in two ways:
- Helping provide funds to event organizers and space owners to help them with accessibility needs such as interpreters, wheelchair ramps and other accessibility needs for their spaces or their events.
- We provide education to event organizers and space owners to help them understand how to make their spaces or events as accessible as possible to all.
Our History
Disability Accessible traces its origins back to Mr. Maryland Leather in November 2019 where the founder, who is on the Autism spectrum was looking for a platform that he could relate to. While he didn’t win Mr. Maryland Leather he started bringing visibilty to disabilities within the LGBTQIA+ community, most specifically the leather and kink communities. Overtime the work he did evolved through community discussions, the creation of a disability awareness pocket flag and an anonymous survey that event organizers could use to poll their participants on accessibility needs. In August 2025, Disability Accessible officially received it’s non-profit status.
